Driving about 10 minutes from Arillas, down a long steep approach road, will bring you into the resort of San George, which proudly boasts the most spectaucular horseshoe shaped bay on the island.
The giant sweeping bay of San George faces west and in the summer basks in sunshine until late in the evening and the soft sand, unlike most of the beaches in the north west shelves quite steeply into the sea, making San George a perfect place for snorkelling and swimming.
